The key here is that the file has a signature from Warner Bros. - as I suspected, this is part of WB's Digital Content Manager (or maybe Digital Copy Manager) that gets loaded anytime you install a digital copy of a WB movie. If you want to continue to use your digital copy, this has to stay on your system...but I'll try to figure out how to keep it from always running in the background.
