If you have questions, feedback on FreeFixer or the freefixer.com website, need help analyzing FreeFixer's scan result or just want to say hello, please contact me. You can find my email address at the contact page.
Please share with the other users what you think about this file. What does this file do? Is it legitimate or something that your computer is better without? Do you know how it was installed on your system? Did you install it yourself or did it come bundled with some other software? Is it running smoothly or do you get some error message? Any information that will help to document this file is welcome. Thank you for your contributions.

Goto the folder \windows\system32
Delete the file FIO32.dll
Goto the folder \windows\system32\drivers
delete the file FIO32.sys
Goto the folder \windows\system32\etc
Edit the Hosts file (notepad.exe will open it)- normally there is only one entry
127.0.0.1
IF you see others and you do not know what they are for either they really do not belong or you do not know enough to be doing any of this. Make a backup of the file before you change or delete anything.
Then you can run something like HiJackThis to get the rest out of the system. Run a good virus scanner, and a good spyware scanner. Erase all deleted files with a good scrubber.
