A screenshot of FreeFixer's scan result.Hi, my name is Roger Karlsson. I've been running this website since 2006. I want to let you know about the FreeFixer program. FreeFixer is a freeware tool that analyzes your system and let you manually identify unwanted programs. Once you've identified some malware files, FreeFixer is pretty good at removing them. You can download FreeFixer here. It runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003/20008/Vista/7 RC1. (32-bit only).

If you have questions, feedback on FreeFixer or the freefixer.com website, need help analyzing FreeFixer's scan result or just want to say hello, please contact me. You can find my email address at the contact page.

The following should explain what the questservice.exe software does:

"QuestService Desktop Search turns your browser address bar (the place where you generally type in web site addresses) into an Internet search box. Installation of QuestService Desktop overrides most pre-existing, error resolution applications (like Google Desktop or Yahoo Toolbar), so that when you input search terms or un-resolvable web site addresses, or keywords, you will be provided with responsive, sponsored and un-sponsored Internet search results via the QuestService Search service or you may be directly navigated to a brand owner's site via one of our third party partners."

A previous variant was named questservice110.exe. I assume we will see questservice112.exe, questservice113.exe, questservice114.exe, questservice115.exe, questservice116.exe, questservice117.exe, questservice118.exe and questservice119.exe appear in the future.

questservice.exe and questservice.dll are two additional filenames that the software uses.
