A screenshot of FreeFixer's scan result.Hi, my name is Roger Karlsson. I've been running this website since 2006. I want to let you know about the FreeFixer program. FreeFixer is a freeware tool that analyzes your system and let you manually identify unwanted programs. Once you've identified some malware files, FreeFixer is pretty good at removing them. You can download FreeFixer here. It runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003/20008/Vista/7/8. Supports both 32- and 64-bit Windows.

If you have questions, feedback on FreeFixer or the freefixer.com website, need help analyzing FreeFixer's scan result or just want to say hello, please contact me. You can find my email address at the contact page.

Yes this is suspicious! I got the .exe file install.exe in a .zip attachment in a mail that says I have to install new settings for my email.
When I open the .exe file with notepad.exe I found this at the bottom:

Which is almost the same as what is listed above.
I have not been able to scan the file yet, can anyone tell what that file does really do?

just curious..but if I have a rthdcpl (shouldn't it be audio?) and acrotray .exe (adobe? which i can't remove) that both say it's a Windows NT ClipBook Viewer from TWX Corporation and original file name pr2s.exe, can i assume that they have to be removed?

I think monnid32.exe is a variant of the Bredolab worm. Please upload it to http://virustotal.com to verify that it is malware. If it is classified as malware, here's how you can remove monnid32.exe with FreeFixer:

1. Download and install FreeFixer: http://www.freefixer.com/download.html
2. Start FreeFixer and click "Scan". The scan will be finished in about 5 minutes.
3. In the scan result, locate items which mention monnid32.exe, and check its "Delete" checkbox. monnid32.exe usually appears under "Autostart Shortcuts" and/or "Recently created or modified files" in FreeFixer's scan result. DO NOT check anything else for removal, unless you are 100% sure it's malware.
4. Click "Fix" and restart your machine.
5. Start a FreeFixer scan again.
7. Verify that monnid32.exe no longer appear anywhere in the scan result.
8. Done.

Did this completely remove the monnid32.exe file from your computer?
