MXTask2.exe is a background process that seems to track whether one's anti-virus subscription with Avanquest is current or not (and may have additional functions I'm not aware of). I see it associated with their System Suite and Fix-It programs, both of which have associated anti-virus subscriptions.

I'm getting an annoying pop-up telling me my subscription has expired and I need to renew. I asked Avanquest how to get rid of it and they told me I can't, so today when it popped up I used the Windows Task Manager to determine it is the MXTask2.exe process that's driving the pop-up.

The program appears to be a legitimate background process associated with Avanguest but is tied to any annoying pop-up process nonetheless...
