I am running Windows 8.1...
And I just noticed a "program" show up in my task manager
named "shwiconxp6366.exe" from Alcor Micro Corp ...
What is it? From what I read it is something that is associated with Windows 7. I have no idea why it suddenly showed up now.
I ran a SUPERAntiSpyware scan and I am being prompted to remove it .. I'm concerned if it is not harmful and I remove it, that I will mess up my system ....
Thank you..

@Donna: Unfortunately I don't know the purpose of the ShwiconXP6366.exe file, but from what I can see from the file details and VirusTotal result listed here, it does not seem like a malicious file. What detection name does SuperAntiSpyware use when reporting the ShwiconXP6366.exe file?

I think you should make an extra check by uploading your copy of ShwiconXP6366.exe to VirusTotal to see if any of the other scanners there detect something:

Please let us know what you find out.
