My notebook, an ASUS G73JW, has EAX and THX sound drivers, written by, you guessed it, Creative. So, THXCFG64 is, evidently, a THX sound configuration driver/program for 64-bit systems.

I believe the same. i have a G73 as well and i found this entry while i was going through stratup processes in msconfig and ran a search. A few sites said it was malware. I've located and scanned the files directly and my AV doesn't say it's a threat. I agree with Jim that it's just part of
THX TruStudio.

I'm here because I want to know what it does. Based on the last comment
It seems to be a sound driver.

I installed THX sound system - it was useless, so I uninstalled it. Yet I still had a couple of these .dll in starup. I Just disabled them.
