Hi,

After building a new PC, XP Pro-SP3, GA-EP35-DS3, E5300, 4Gb DDR2-800, with HD and DVD I installed a GTS250-1Gb card. When all programs were loaded I then run COMODO System Cleaner [New Version] and from then on had BSOD errors and PC crashes, usually associated with the display and hi res games?

COMODO has info on cfrmd.sys and BSOD issues at their site and they recommend removing cfrmd.sys until they have the situation fixed. COMODO products are generally reliable and it was a surprise to me that this program had caused so much of a problem with my PC.

I must also comment that their older version of System Cleaner gave no problems on my old AsRock P4i65G-1GB-P4-XP Pro SP3 based machine for several years.

Regards, KH

cfrmd.sys also gave me problems. However they were a bit more spontaneous and unpredictable. It would sometimes crash in the middle of the night when I'm not even touching it and wake up to see "System recovered from an unexpected error". There was almost no information in th event viewer, I had to debug the minidump, and both times cfrmd.sys was the probable cause.

Comodo are of good intentions of course, and I will continue to use the firewall. I will probably try CCC again at a later date.
