McAfee detected a program on this PC that was trying to access the internet.

Program: iumsvc.exe
Location: Same as above
Recommendation: Unknown program

I did not install this program. I am not familiar with this program at all.

McAfee has provided options for users to chose whether to Allow "always" this program, iumsvc.exe, internet access. Other options include "Allow once", Allow outgoing access" and, Block.

I got "iumsvc has recently crashed This may happen due to windows errors, incufficient disk space or malicious programs damaging your PC. We recommend that you (in bold: scan your PC right now) to resolve these issues."

@evect: It sounds like you have REIMAGE installed on your computer. You probably don't want it on your computer.

iumsvc.exe looks safe to me. None of anti-virus programs over at VirusTotal detects the iumsvc.exe file. In addition to that, iumsvc.exe is digitally signed by Intel, so I think the file is safe.

It iumsvc.exe is crashing, please check if there's an update to the Intel software that you are running.
