Dell Incorporated - 0% Detection Rate *

Did you just download a file that is digitally signed by Dell Incorporated and wonder if the file is safe? If so, please read on.

You will probably notice Dell Incorporated when clicking to run the file. The publisher name shows up as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows reports that "This digital signature is OK". This means that the file has been published by Dell Incorporated and that no one has tampered with the file.

You can also examine the address for Dell Incorporated, such as the street name, city and country.

The following are the Dell Incorporated files I have gathered, thanks to the FreeFixer users.

The FreeFixer tool treats files from Dell Incorporated as safe, which means that the Dell Incorporated files will appear with a green background and that there is no removal checkbox for the file. However, as you can see in the scan results below, a few of the anti-virus scanners detects the Dell Incorporated file(s). I'm pretty sure those detections are false positives and that the files are safe. It is unlikely that Dell Incorporated would ship a malware file.
