Dening Hu - 23% Detection Rate *

Did you just stumble upon a download or a file on your computer that has been digitally signed by Dening Hu? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as suspected of Trojan.Downloader.gen.h and PUP/SupTab. The detection rate for the Dening Hu files collected here is 23%. Please read on for more details.

You will typically see Dening Hu when running the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view the digital signature details for Dening Hu with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Dening Hu file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Dening Hu and that no one has tampered with the file.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screencap above, you can see all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, and so on. You can also see the address for Dening Hu, such as the street name, city and country.

* How the Detection Percentage is Calculated
