Steema Software SL Publisher Overview

Did you just download a file that has been digitally signed by Steema Software SL and wonder if the file is safe? If so, please read on.

You will probably see Steema Software SL when running the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can also view the Steema Software SL certificate with the following procedure:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the Steema Software SL file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Steema Software SL and that the file has not been tampered with.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screencap above, you can view all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, etc. You can also examine the address for Steema Software SL, such as the street name, city and country.

COMODO RSA Code Signing CA and COMODO Code Signing CA 2 has issued the Steema Software SL certificates. You can also examine the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.
