Did the lp.playerpage128.info ad appear to have been initiated from a web site that under normal circumstances don&#8217;t use aggressive advertising such as pop-up windows? Or did the lp.playerpage128.info pop-up show up while you clicked a link on one of the major search engines, such as Google, Bing or Yahoo?<\/p>\n<p>Here is a screenshot on the lp.playerpage128.info pop-up from my computer:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lp.playerpage128.info_.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4106\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lp.playerpage128.info_.png\" alt=\"lp.playerpage128.info\" width=\"799\" height=\"318\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lp.playerpage128.info_.png 799w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/lp.playerpage128.info_-300x119.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you also see this on your machine, you apparently have some adware installed on your computer that pops up the lp.playerpage128.info ads. There&#8217;s no use contacting the owners of the website you were browsing. The ads are not coming from them. I&#8217;ll try help you to <strong>remove the lp.playerpage128.info<\/strong> pop-ups in this blog post.<\/p>\n<p>If you have been following this blog already know this, but if you are new: Some time ago I dedicated a few of my lab machines and wilfully installed a few adware programs on them. I&#8217;ve been tracking the behaviour on these machines to see what kinds of advertisements that are displayed. I&#8217;m also looking on other interesting things such as if the adware auto-updates, or if it downloads additional unwanted software on the computers. I first noticed the lp.playerpage128.info pop-up on one of these lab computers.<\/p>\n<p>lp.playerpage128.info was registered on 2015-01-25. lp.playerpage128.info resolves to 54.175.102.143 and playerpage128.info to the 184.168.221.58 IP address. The domain is registered by &#8220;Trusted Installs&#8221;. On the machine where I got the lp.playerpage128.info ads I had <a title=\"PriceLess and Supporter 1.80 Removal Instructions\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/priceless-removal-instructions\/\">PriceLess<\/a>, <a title=\"How To Remove OfferBoulevard\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/remove-offerboulevard\/\">OfferBoulevard<\/a>, <a title=\"How To Remove PriceHorse - Adware Removal Instructions\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/remove-pricehorse-adware\/\">PriceHorse<\/a> and <a title=\"Ads by SpeedCheck - Removal Instructions\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/remove-ads-by-speedcheck\/\">SpeedCheck<\/a> installed. I removed them with <a title=\"Read more on FreeFixer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a> and that stopped the lp.playerpage128.info pop-ups and all the other ads I was getting in Internet Explorer.<\/p>\n<p>The issue with this type of pop-up is that it can be launched by many variants of adware. This makes it impossible to say exactly what you need to remove to stop the pop-ups.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, here&#8217;s my suggestion for the lp.playerpage128.info ads removal:<\/p>\n<p>The first thing I would do to <strong>remove the lp.playerpage128.info pop-ups<\/strong> is to examine the software installed on the machine, by opening the &#8220;Uninstall programs&#8221; dialog. You can find this dialog from the Windows Control Panel. If you are using one of the more recent versions of Windows you can just type in &#8220;uninstall&#8221; in the Control Panel&#8217;s search field to find that dialog:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2849\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search.png\" alt=\"Uninstall a program search\" width=\"471\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search.png 471w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search-300x102.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 471px) 100vw, 471px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on the &#8220;<strong>Uninstall a program<\/strong>&#8221; link and the Uninstall programs dialog will open up:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2853\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog.png\" alt=\"Uninstall a program dialog\" width=\"356\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog.png 356w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog-300x245.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Do you see something suspicious in there or something that you don&#8217;t remember installing? Tip: Sort on the &#8220;<strong>Installed On<\/strong>&#8221; column to see if some program was installed approximately about the same time as you started observing the lp.playerpage128.info pop-ups.<\/p>\n<p>Then you can examine you browser add-ons. Adware often show up under the add-ons menu in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari. Is there something that looks suspicious? Something that you don&#8217;t remember installing?<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2927 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager-300x190.png\" alt=\"Firefox add-ons manager\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager-300x190.png 300w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager.png 460w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think you will be able to identify and uninstall the adware with the steps outlined above, but in case that did not work you can try the <a title=\"FreeFixer is freeware. More info and download link here\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer removal tool<\/a> to identify and remove the adware. FreeFixer is a freeware tool that I started develop many years ago. It&#8217;s a tool built to manually find and uninstall unwanted software. When you&#8217;ve found the unwanted files you can simply tick a checkbox and click on the Fix button to remove the unwanted file.<\/p>\n<p>FreeFixer&#8217;s removal feature is not crippled like many other removal tools out there. It will not require you to pay a fee just when you are about to remove the unwanted files.<\/p>\n<p>And if you&#8217;re having a hard time deciding if a file is legitimate or unwanted in FreeFixer&#8217;s scan report, click on the <strong>More Info<\/strong> link for the file. That will open up your browser with a page which contains additional information about the file.
