Right now I found another adware while reviewing some of the files in the FreeFixer database. This is yet another BrowseFox variant called\u00a0<strong>Follow Rules<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<a title=\"How To Scan a File for Viruses with VirusTotal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/scan-files-for-viruses-virustotal\/\">VirusTotal<\/a>,\u00a040% of the scanners detected the Follow Rules file, which is a pretty good detection rate. Ad-Aware reports it\u00a0as <strong>Adware.SwiftBrowse.CH<\/strong>, Antiy-AVL detects it as <strong>GrayWare[NetTool:not-a-virus]\/Win64.NetFilter.a<\/strong>, DrWeb classifies it as <strong>Tool.NetFilter.313<\/strong>, F-Prot names it <strong>W64\/A-59c9c70a!Eldorado<\/strong>, TrendMicro calls it <strong>HS_BROWSEFOX.SM<\/strong>, VIPRE classifies it as <strong>Trojan.Win32.Generic!BT<\/strong> and Zillya calls it <strong>Adware.Yotoon.Win64.14<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Follow-Rules-virustotal.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4208\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Follow-Rules-virustotal.png\" alt=\"Follow Rules virustotal\" width=\"805\" height=\"439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Follow-Rules-virustotal.png 805w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Follow-Rules-virustotal-300x163.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;d like to <strong>remove Follow Rules<\/strong>, and that&#8217;s a piece of cake with <a title=\"About the FreeFixer removal tool\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a>. Just select the Follow Rules files, they are all digitally signed by &#8220;Follow Rules&#8221;, so no problem identifying them.<\/p>\n<p>Hope this helped you solved the Follow Rules problem.<\/p>\n<p>Did you also find FollowRules on your machine?
