Just a quick post on the <strong>Jelbrus Secure Web<\/strong> <strong>adware<\/strong>. If you have Jelbrus Secure Web installed and running on your computer, you will notice <strong>privoxy.exe<\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/mlwps.exe-167014\/\">mlwps.exe<\/a> running in the Windows Task Manager, a new services installed, pointing to privoxy.exe and mlwps.exe , changes in your LAN proxy settings and a new add-on installed in Internet Explorer called SecureWebBho.<\/p>\n<p>There was no entry in the Add\/Remove programs dialog for Jelbrus Secure Web when I tested it.<\/p>\n<p>You may run into this adware infection if you are visiting sites, such as <a title=\"Jelbrus LLC from The Pirate Bay \u2013 23% Anti-Virus Detection Rate \u2013 Strictor \/ Techsnab \/ HfsAdware\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/jelbrus-llc-pirate-bay-anti-virus-detection-strictor-techsnab-hfsadware\/\">ThePirateBay<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll show how to remove Jelbrus Secure Web in this blog post with the FreeFixer removal tool.<\/p>\n<p>As always when I test some new software I uploaded it to <a title=\"How To Scan a File for Viruses with VirusTotal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/scan-files-for-viruses-virustotal\/\">VirusTotal<\/a> to test if the anti-malwares there find anything fishy. 9% of the scanners detected the file. The Jelbrus Secure Web files are detected as <strong>TR\/Trash.Gen<\/strong> by Avira, <strong>Backdoor.Win32.Bifrose.fsi (v)<\/strong> by AVware, <strong>Packed.Win32.Krap.hc<\/strong> by Kaspersky, <strong>Bloodhound.MalPE<\/strong> by Symantec and <strong>Backdoor.Win32.Bifrose.fsi (v)<\/strong> by VIPRE.<\/p>\n<p>You probably came here looking for <strong>removal instructions for Jelbrus Secure Web<\/strong> and you can do so with the <a title=\"About FreeFixer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a> removal tool.
