Contacting the owner of the site would be a waste of time. They are not responsible for the advertisements. I&#8217;ll try help you with the <strong>0c9d8370d.se removal<\/strong> in this blog post.<\/p>\n<p>For those that are new to the blog: Not long ago I dedicated some of my lab computers and intentionally installed some adware programs on them. I have been monitoring the behaviour on these systems to see what kinds of advertisements that are displayed. I&#8217;m also looking on other interesting things such as if the adware updates itself, or if it downloads and installs additional unwanted software on the computers. I first spotted the 0c9d8370d.se pop-up on one of these lab machines.<\/p>\n<p>0c9d8370d.se resolves to the 83.140.162.232 address. 0c9d8370d.se was created on 2013-02-22. DomainTools reports the IP as\u00a05.150.195.167. On the machine where I got the 0c9d8370d.se ads I had <a title=\"What is PrimaryColorbho.dll?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/PrimaryColorbho.dll-186907\/\">PrimaryColor<\/a>, <a title=\"The acengine.exe service is installed with FastSearch\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/acengine.exe-199576\/\">FastSearch<\/a>, <a title=\"What is YTDownloader.exe?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/YTDownloader.exe-142303\/\">YTDownloader<\/a>, <a title=\"SSFK.exe removal instructions\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/SSFK.exe-199801\/\">SSFK.exe<\/a>, <a title=\"ppsvc.exe is installed with the Phase Professor adware.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/ppsvc.exe-199588\/\">PhaseProfessor<\/a>, <a title=\"mystartsearch.xml\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/mystartsearch.xml-204418\/\">mystartsearch<\/a>, <a title=\"InternetEnhancer.exe comes with the Wajam adware\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/InternetEnhancer.exe-199577\/\">Wajam<\/a>, <a title=\"WebShieldService.exe - PullUpdate, PUP\/WebShield, Downloader.CBD, Eldorado\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/WebShieldService.exe-199579\/\">WebShield<\/a> and <a title=\"SFKEX64.exe removal instructions\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/SFKEX64.exe-199651\/\">SFKEX64.exe<\/a> installed. I removed them with <a title=\"About FreeFixer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a> and that stopped the 0c9d8370d.se pop-ups and all the other ads I was getting in Mozilla Firefox.<\/p>\n<p>If you are wonder if there are many others out there also getting the 0c9d8370d.se ads, the answer is probably yes. Check out the traffic rank from Alexa:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/0c9d8370d.se-traffic-rank.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7719\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/0c9d8370d.se-traffic-rank.png\" alt=\"0c9d8370d.se traffic rank\" width=\"592\" height=\"314\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/0c9d8370d.se-traffic-rank.png 592w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/0c9d8370d.se-traffic-rank-300x159.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 592px) 100vw, 592px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The problem with this type of pop-up is that it can be launched by many variants of adware, not just the adware running on my machine. This makes it impossible to say exactly what you need to remove to stop the pop-ups.<\/p>\n<p>To remove the 0c9d8370d.se pop-up ads you need to check your machine for adware or other types of unwanted software and uninstall it. Here&#8217;s my suggested removal procedure:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>What software do you have installed if you look in the Add\/Remove programs dialog in the Windows Control Panel? Something that you don&#8217;t remember installing yourself or that was recently installed?<\/li>\n<li>How about your add-ons you have in your browsers. Anything in the list that you don&#8217;t remember installing?<\/li>\n<li>If that didn&#8217;t solve the problem, I&#8217;d recommend a scan with <a title=\"The freeware FreeFixer removal tool\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a> to manually track down the adware.
