Maybe the ws.pricedetect.com domain appear when performing a search at the Google search engine?<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a screen capture of ws.pricedetect.com when it showed up on my computer:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/ws.pricedetect.com-.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7736\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/ws.pricedetect.com-.png\" alt=\"ws.pricedetect.com\" width=\"698\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/ws.pricedetect.com-.png 698w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/ws.pricedetect.com--300x116.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 698px) 100vw, 698px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the status bar messages you may see in your browser&#8217;s status bar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Waiting for ws.pricedetect.com&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Transferring data from ws.pricedetect.com&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Looking up ws.pricedetect.com&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Read ws.pricedetect.com<\/li>\n<li>Connected to ws.pricedetect.com&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you also see this on your system, you probably have some potentially unwanted program installed on your computer that makes the ws.pricedetect.com domain appear in your web browser. Contacting the owner of the site you were browsing would be a waste of time. They are not responsible for the ws.pricedetect.com status bar messages. I&#8217;ll try help you to <strong>remove the ws.pricedetect.com<\/strong> status bar messages in this blog post.<\/p>\n<p>Those that have been visiting this blog already know this, but here we go: Some time ago I dedicated some of my lab computers and knowingly installed some potentially unwanted programs on them. I&#8217;ve been following the behaviour on these systems to see what kinds of advertisements, if any, that are displayed. I&#8217;m also looking on other interesting things such as if the potentially unwanted program updates itself automatically, or if it downloads and installs additional software on the machines. I first observed ws.pricedetect.com in Mozilla Firefox&#8217;s status bar on one of these lab machines.<\/p>\n<p>ws.pricedetect.com resolves to 104.25.77.5 and pricedetect.com to the same IP address. ws.pricedetect.com was registered on 2012-07-21.<\/p>\n<p>So, how do you <strong>remove ws.pricedetect.com<\/strong> from your web browser? On the machine where ws.pricedetect.com showed up in the status bar I had <a title=\"Remove WNet.exe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/WNet.exe-199449\/\">WNet<\/a>, <a title=\"Remove PlainSavings Ads\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/PlainSavingsbho.dll-199447\/\">PlainSavings<\/a>, <a title=\"How To Remove CashReminder.exe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/CashReminder.exe-199448\/\">CashReminder<\/a> and <a title=\"How To Remove ActSys.exe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/ActSys.exe-201750\/\">ActSys<\/a> installed. I removed them with <a title=\"Read more on FreeFixer here\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a> and that stopped the browser from loading data from ws.pricedetect.com.<\/p>\n<p>The problem with this type of status bar message is that it can be caused by many variants of potentially unwanted programs, not just the potentially unwanted program that&#8217;s installed on my computer. This makes it impossible to say exactly what you need to remove to stop the status bar messages.<\/p>\n<p>So, what can be done? To remove ws.pricedetect.com you need to check your computer for potentially unwanted programs and uninstall them. Here&#8217;s my suggested removal procedure:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>What software do you have installed if you look in the Add\/Remove programs dialog in the Windows Control Panel? Something that you don&#8217;t remember installing yourself or that was recently installed?<\/li>\n<li>How about your add-ons that you have in your browser. Anything in the list that you don&#8217;t remember installing?<\/li>\n<li>If that didn&#8217;t solve the problem, I&#8217;d recommend a scan with <a title=\"FreeFixer is freeware. More info and download link here\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a> to manually track down the potentially unwanted program.
