So don&#8217;t send angry emails to the website you were browsing, they are most likely not responsible for the s.klmtm2k6.com status bar messages. The potentially unwanted program on your computer is. I&#8217;ll try help you to <strong>remove the s.klmtm2k6.com<\/strong> status bar messages in this blog post.<\/p>\n<p>Those that have been reading this blog already know this, but here we go: Recently I dedicated some of my lab computers and intentionally installed a few potentially unwanted programs on them. Since then I&#8217;ve been monitoring the actions on these machines to see what kinds of advertisements, if any, that are displayed. I&#8217;m also looking on other interesting things such as if the potentially unwanted program updates itself automatically, or if it installs additional software on the machines. I first observed s.klmtm2k6.com in Mozilla Firefox&#8217;s status bar on one of these lab computers.<\/p>\n<p>s.klmtm2k6.com was registered on 2015-10-28. s.klmtm2k6.com resolves to 50.17.215.71.<\/p>\n<p>So, how do you <strong>remove s.klmtm2k6.com<\/strong> from your browser? On the machine where s.klmtm2k6.com showed up in the statusbar I had gosearch.me, <a title=\"How To Remove mlwps.exe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/mlwps.exe-174582\/\">Live Malware Protection<\/a>, <a title=\"Remove Windows Menager.exe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/library\/file\/Windows%20menager.exe-196920\/\">Windows Menager<\/a> and <a title=\"Remove SmartComp Safe Network\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/remove-jelbrus-secure-web-adware\/\">SmartComp Safe Network<\/a> installed. I removed them with <a title=\"About FreeFixer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer<\/a> and that stopped the browser from loading data from s.klmtm2k6.com.<\/p>\n<p>The issue with this type of status bar message is that it can be caused by many variants of potentially unwanted programs, not just the potentially unwanted program that&#8217;s installed on my machine. This makes it impossible to say exactly what you need to remove to stop the status bar messages.<\/p>\n<p>So, what can be done? To remove s.klmtm2k6.com you need to review your computer for potentially unwanted programs and uninstall them. Here&#8217;s my suggested removal procedure:<\/p>\n<p>The first thing I would do to <strong>remove s.klmtm2k6.com<\/strong> is to examine the software installed on the machine, by opening the &#8220;Uninstall programs&#8221; dialog. You can find this dialog from the Windows Control Panel. If you are using one of the more recent versions of Windows you can just type in &#8220;uninstall&#8221; in the Control Panel&#8217;s search field to find that dialog:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2849\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search.png\" alt=\"Uninstall a program search\" width=\"471\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search.png 471w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-search-300x102.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 471px) 100vw, 471px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on the &#8220;<strong>Uninstall a program<\/strong>&#8221; link and the Uninstall programs dialog will open up:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2853\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog.png\" alt=\"Uninstall a program dialog\" width=\"356\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog.png 356w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Uninstall-a-program-dialog-300x245.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Do you see something dubious listed there or something that you don&#8217;t remember installing? Tip: Sort on the &#8220;<strong>Installed On<\/strong>&#8221; column to see if something was installed about the same time as you started getting the s.klmtm2k6.com status bar messages.<\/p>\n<p>Then you can examine you browser add-ons. Potentially unwanted programs often appear under the add-ons menu in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari. Is there anything that looks suspicious? Something that you don&#8217;t remember installing?<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2927 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager-300x190.png\" alt=\"Firefox add-ons manager\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager-300x190.png 300w, https:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Firefox-add-ons-manager.png 460w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think most users will be able to find and remove the potentially unwanted program with the steps outlined above, but in case that did not work you can try the <a title=\"More info on FreeFixer and download link here\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freefixer.com\/b\/about-freefixer\/\">FreeFixer removal tool<\/a> to identify and remove the potentially unwanted program. FreeFixer is a freeware tool that I started develop many years ago. It&#8217;s a tool designed to manually find and remove unwanted software. When you&#8217;ve tracked down the unwanted files you can simply tick a checkbox and click on the Fix button to remove the unwanted file.<\/p>\n<p>FreeFixer&#8217;s removal feature is not locked like many other removal tools out there. It won&#8217;t require you to pay for the program just when you are about to remove the unwanted files.<\/p>\n<p>And if you&#8217;re having problems figuring out if a file is clean or potentially unwanted in FreeFixer&#8217;s scan report, click on the <strong>More Info<\/strong> link for the file. That will open up your browser with a page which contains additional information about the file.
