Hi Team,
SSdal_nc.exe comes from SeagullScientific.com and is a software Windows Driver for Zebra Thermal Printers. The Seagull driver allows Windows programs to interface with the Zebra printers, which normally are accessed via speciallized bar-code printing software.
So it's not anything to be afraid of. If you are using the very common Zebra 2844 Printer for eBay, USPS and UPS, then that answers the question 'where did it come from?'
Hope this helps.
Dave

The company I support uses it apparently to interface with a label maker, however, on the system that it was installed on, when the label maker isn't attached, it caused the computer to run very slowly, especially when attempting to print. In fact, it made printing to a Sharp MX-3100 stop working. I disabled it from Task Manager, rebooted, and now printing works and speed is no longer an issue.
It did not register as malware when I ran malwarebytes, so I left it on the tablet, but disabled the service at startup.
