Activision Publishing - 0.403% Detection Rate *

Did you just download a file that is digitally signed by Activision Publishing and wonder if the file is safe? If that's the case, please read on.

You will typically notice Activision Publishing when running the file. The publisher name shows up as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view additional details from the Activision Publishing certificate with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Activision Publishing file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screengrab above, Windows reports that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Activision Publishing and that the file has not been tampered with.
