Did you just stumble upon a download or a file on your computer that has a digital signature from Alot.com? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Alot Toolbar and Win32.Troj.Generic.a.(kcloud). The detection rate for the Alot.com files collected here is 3%. You'll probably see Alot.com when running the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

As you can see in the screengrab above, the Windows OS reports that "This digital signature is OK". This means that the file has been published by Alot.com and that no one has tampered with the file.
If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above, you can view all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, and so on. You can also examine the address for Alot.com, such as the street name, city and country.
VeriSign Class 3 Code Signing 2009-2 CA and VeriSign Class 3 Code Signing 2004 CA has issued the Alot.com certificates. You can also see the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.
