ArcadeTwist - 7% Detection Rate *

Did you just run into a download or a file on your computer that has been digitally signed by ArcadeTwist? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as PUP.Optional.ArcadeTwist.SID.A and Generic.C27. The detection rate for the ArcadeTwist files collected here is 7%. Please read on for more details.

You will typically see ArcadeTwist when running the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view additional details from the ArcadeTwist certificate with the following procedure:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the ArcadeTwist file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, the Windows OS states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by ArcadeTwist and that no one has tampered with the file.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above, you can examine all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, and so on. You can also examine the address for ArcadeTwist, such as the street name, city and country.

thawte SHA256 Code Signing CA has issued the ArcadeTwist certificates. You can also view the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.

* How the Detection Percentage is Calculated
