Arctic World - 30% Detection Rate *

Did you just stumble upon a download or a file on your computer that has a digital signature from Arctic World? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Gen:Adware.BrowseFox.1 and Trojan.Yontoo.3989. The detection rate for the Arctic World files collected here is 30%. You will probably see Arctic World when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name shows up as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screengrab shows:

You can view the additional details from the Arctic World digital signature with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Arctic World file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This means that the file has been published by Arctic World and that no one has tampered with the file.
