Blit Inc. Publisher Overview

Did you just download a file that has a digital signature from Blit Inc. and wonder if the file is safe? If so, please read on.

You will probably notice Blit Inc. when running the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screencap shows:

You can view additional details from the Blit Inc. certificate with the following procedure:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the Blit Inc. file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

Here's a screenshot of a file digitally signed by Blit Inc.:

As you can see in the screenshot above, the Windows OS reports that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Blit Inc. and that the file has not been tampered with.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above, you can examine all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, and so on. You can also see the address for Blit Inc., such as the street name, city and country.

DigiCert Assured ID Code Signing CA-1 has issued the Blit Inc. certificates. You can also view the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.

The following are the Blit Inc. files I've gathered, thanks to the FreeFixer users.Unfortunately I don't have any scan result from VirusTotal available for the Blit Inc. files at the moment. The scan results will appear here as soon as a FreeFixer user uploads a file digitally signed by Blit Inc..
