Brass Search - 60% Detection Rate *

Did you just stumble upon a download or a file on your computer that has been digitally signed by Brass Search? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Adware.NetFilter.J and Unwanted-Program ( 004b04a01 ). The detection rate for the Brass Search files collected here is 60%. You'll probably see Brass Search when running the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view the additional details from the Brass Search digital signature with the following procedure:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Brass Search file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Brass Search and that the file has not been tampered with.
