Cheat Engine - 0.379% Detection Rate *

Did you just run into a file that has been digitally signed by Cheat Engine? If that's the case, please read on.

You will typically see Cheat Engine when running the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view the additional details from the Cheat Engine digital signature with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Cheat Engine file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Cheat Engine and that the file has not been tampered with.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above, you can examine all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, etc. You can also see the address for Cheat Engine, such as the street name, city and country.

GlobalSign Extended Validation CodeSigning CA - SHA256 - G3 and GlobalSign CodeSigning CA - G2 has issued the Cheat Engine certificates. You can also examine the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.
