Instant Housecall - 5% Detection Rate *

Did you just run into a download or a file on your computer that is digitally signed by Instant Housecall? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Malware.Heuristic!ET#95% (cloud:ZN67eEikVEM) and Suspicious_GEN.F47V0409. The detection rate for the Instant Housecall files collected here is 5%. Please read on for more details.

You will typically see Instant Housecall when clicking to run the file. The publisher name shows up as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screencap shows:

You can view the digital signature details for Instant Housecall with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Instant Housecall file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Instant Housecall and that the file has not been tampered with.

You can also examine the address for Instant Housecall, such as the street name, city and country.
