Node.js Foundation Publisher Information

Did you just stumble upon a file that has a digital signature from Node.js Foundation? If that's the case, please read on.

You will probably notice Node.js Foundation when running the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can also view the Node.js Foundation certificate with the following steps:

  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

Here's a screengrab of a file digitally signed by Node.js Foundation:

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows reports that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Node.js Foundation and that no one has tampered with the file.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screengrab above, you can view all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, etc. You can also see the address for Node.js Foundation, such as the street name, city and country.

DigiCert SHA2 Assured ID Code Signing CA has issued the Node.js Foundation certificates. You can also view the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.
