Pine Tree - 35% Detection Rate *

Did you just find a download or a file on your computer that has a digital signature from Pine Tree? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Adware.BrowseFox.V and Gen:Variant.Adware.Mikey.11547. The detection rate for the Pine Tree files collected here is 35%. You will typically notice Pine Tree when clicking to run the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view the digital signature details for Pine Tree with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Pine Tree file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button
