Plain Savings - 51% Detection Rate *

Did you just run into a download or a file on your computer that has a digital signature from Plain Savings? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Adware.SwiftBrowse.CH and Trojan.Yontoo.1806. The detection rate for the Plain Savings files collected here is 51%. You will probably notice Plain Savings when running the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view additional details from the Plain Savings certificate with the following procedure:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the Plain Savings file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screencap above, Windows reports that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Plain Savings and that the file has not been tampered with.

You can also view the address for Plain Savings, such as the street name, city and country.
