SNAPS Inc Publisher Overview

Did you just download a file that is digitally signed by SNAPS Inc and wonder if the file is safe? If that's the case, please read on.

You'll probably see SNAPS Inc when running the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view additional details from the SNAPS Inc certificate with the following procedure:

1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the SNAPS Inc file
2. Right-click the file and select Properties
3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, the Windows OS reports that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by SNAPS Inc and that the file has not been tampered with.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above, you can see all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, and so on. You can also examine the address for SNAPS Inc, such as the street name, city and country.

thawte SHA256 Code Signing CA has issued the SNAPS Inc certificates. You can also view the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.
