Smart Projects Publisher Overview

Did you just download a file that is digitally signed by Smart Projects and wonder if the file is safe? If that's the case, please read on.

You'll typically notice Smart Projects when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screencap shows:

You can view the digital signature details for Smart Projects with the following steps:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the Smart Projects file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

Here's a screenshot of a file signed by Smart Projects:

As you can see in the screencap above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This means that the file has been published by Smart Projects and that no one has tampered with the file.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screengrab above, you can see all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, and so on. You can also view the address for Smart Projects, such as the street name, city and country.

COMODO Code Signing CA 2 and COMODO RSA Code Signing CA has issued the Smart Projects certificates. You can also see the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.

Smart Projects Files

The following are the Smart Projects files I have gathered, thanks to the FreeFixer users.Unfortunately I don't have any scan result from VirusTotal available for the Smart Projects files at the moment. The scan results will appear here as soon as a FreeFixer user uploads a file digitally signed by Smart Projects.
