SunriseBrowse - 27% Detection Rate *

Did you just stumble upon a download or a file on your computer that has been digitally signed by SunriseBrowse? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Generic.278 and Adware.SwiftBrowse.BV. The detection rate for the SunriseBrowse files collected here is 27%. You will typically see SunriseBrowse when running the file. The publisher name shows up as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screencap shows:

You can view additional details from the SunriseBrowse certificate with the following procedure:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the SunriseBrowse file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, the Windows OS states that "This digital signature is OK". This means that the file has been published by SunriseBrowse and that the file has not been tampered with.

You can also examine the address for SunriseBrowse, such as the street name, city and country.
