Video Technology Publisher Overview

Did you just download a file that is digitally signed by Video Technology and wonder if the file is safe? If so, please read on.

You will probably see Video Technology when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screengrab shows:

You can view the digital signature details for Video Technology with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the Video Technology file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows reports that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Video Technology and that no one has tampered with the file.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above, you can view all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, etc. You can also see the address for Video Technology, such as the street name, city and country.

COMODO Code Signing CA 2 has issued the Video Technology certificates. You can also see the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.
