WiseCommerce - 22% Detection Rate *

Did you just find a download or a file on your computer that is digitally signed by WiseCommerce? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Trojan ( 0040f5751 ) and W32.HfsAdware.3484. The detection rate for the WiseCommerce files collected here is 22%. Please read on for more details.

You'll typically notice WiseCommerce when clicking to run the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view additional details from the WiseCommerce certificate with the following steps:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the WiseCommerce file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by WiseCommerce and that the file has not been tampered with.

You can also see the address for WiseCommerce, such as the street name, city and country.
