@axel: FreeFixer reports an error when completing step 4 in the removal instructions if it failed to delete 360safe.exe in regular Windows mode. Was this when you got the "error code 5" error message?

FreeFixer should at this point say that it cannot delete the 360safe.exe file in regular Windows mode and ask you to restart your computer, and the removal of 360safe.exe will be done during the reboot.

Did you proceed with step 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9?

Okay, I tried it all and nothing works. The file keeps disturbing me and FreeFixer doesn't delete it. I have rebooted my PC several times and everytime I do it, a message saying that I need to check my hard disk appears.

What can I do?

@Meg: Does FreeFixer show some error message when trying to delete the 360safe.exe file? Or is the 360safe.exe file coming back after it is deleted?

If 360safe.exe keeps coming back, it might be another malware file that needs to be deleted at the same time as 360safe.exe.
