It provides the Acoustic Echo Cancellation for Andrea Audio products. It allows full-duplex operations without echo by playing a calibration tone before starting, so it can filter out the played sound from being picked back up by the microphone. If it is disabled, Acoustic Echo Cancellation will not be available, but all other features of the sound card will function normally.
