ASHelper.exe exception errors occured as a result of me uninstalling the trial version of Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate. There are two components that should be uninstalled in sequence. The sequence is 1-Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate and 2-Aimersoft Helper Compact. When I reversed the order of the uninstall, Exception errors occured in ASHelper.exe.

So I had this "Aimersoft Studio" process running in the background that I accidentally found by checking out my task manager even though I don't remember ever installing it. Anyway, after uninstalling aimer soft I still had ASHelper.exe running in the background and I have no clue how to get rid of it, so I'm gonna restart and see if it's gone, otherwise I will proceed to disable it from the start up then delete the ASHelper.exe located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aimersoft\Aimersoft Helper Compact

@Noboby: If you want, you can rename ASHelper.exe to ASHelper.exe.old, and then reboot your machine. After this, does all the Aimersoft tools work as expected?

If you don't want to use any of the Aimersoft tools anymore, it shouldn't be a problem to remove the ASHelper.exe file.

These are the Aimersoft tools that I know of:

* Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate
* iTube HD Video Downloader
* Filmora Video Editor
* iMusic
* Aimersoft Music Recorder
* Aimersoft DVD Ripper
* Aimersoft DVD Creator
* Aimersoft DVD Copy
* DRM Converter
* Online Video Downloader
