Hi, my name is Roger Karlsson. I've been running this website since 2006. I want to let you know about the FreeFixer program. FreeFixer is a freeware tool that analyzes your system and let you manually identify unwanted programs. Once you've identified some malware files, FreeFixer is pretty good at removing them. You can download FreeFixer here. It runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003/2008/2016/2019/Vista/7/8/8.1/10. Supports both 32- and 64-bit Windows.
If you have questions, feedback on FreeFixer or the freefixer.com website, need help analyzing FreeFixer's scan result or just want to say hello, please contact me. You can find my email address at the contact page.

Cryptomite is a small program that encrypts any Windows file you designate. I have been using it for about 18 years now (buying a few upgrades over the years).
It is a simple program and works well. But I do not recommend it because:
- It is German software. The Site used to have an English version webpage, but now it is only in German.
- The program is not really updated much any longer. It keeps working even on Windows 8.1, but my fingers are crossed nowadays.
- Back when I first bought it the program was pretty unique. 18 years later there's lots of alternatives, so much so you don't want to spend even $20 on this program. It is not worth the risk that someday it will simply stop functioning and the developer will have moved on to other things.
Anyway, that's what Cryptomite is all about. Far more than you want to know since I doubt there's few people who have Cryptomite. (Maybe that's a good thing. No one can figure out the program on my PC, much less the decryption method and my password.)
P.S. In 2015 the link to the English translation page no longer works (404 error), and the German program is called "Krypter." And even that program talks about it working with Win 7. Does not even mention Windows 8.
