Found this website after searching for information on high CPU usage and having previously tried to End Process "chromehelper.exe" in task manager without success. I located the file and both Firefoxhelper.exe and Iehelper.exe using Search, found all three in hidden folder RHelpers and renamed all three from .exe to .old. My CPU usage has gone from 40% at idle to under 10%.

I still have no idea how the three files got in my machine, I did not ask for them nor do I have any idea what they are supposed to do. All I know is my machine runs a damn site better without them. My virus checker is Norton which accepts the three files.

MS Surface Pro 1, Recent update to Windows 10, Discovered machine running 25 to 30% CPU, Task Manager showed Chrome helper (32 Bit), Firefoxhelper (32 bit) and iehelper (32 bit). Found FreeFixer on a Google search. Verified validity and then downloaded and ran to remove these a.exe's. Worked on first try.
