Hi Roger, I've read your post/blog thingy & im still unsure as 2 what exactly this
•Google setup update
application 1.3.29.5
is...?? It wants practically
~ Full system permissions...?? Did u allow...??

Actually the file it's saved itself into is labelled-
• Googledrivesync.exe
(& i literally JUST downloaded the Google Drive app...????)
Could it be a system operator for the Drive Cloud App thing?
SORRY... As u can probably tell from reading this I've only recently started using my laptop properly is again.. & only updated to windows 10 in January I think? (I tried to stop it from updating but it was just to persistent.. ????
Felt like i had alot more control using ancient system - I was still using Windows Pro (I think?????)
Sry if I'm asking stupid questions but Anything u might know would greatly help (& maybe save my poor laptop's life.. Thanks again, Sam

Hi Sam,

I'm not sure exactly what the "Google Update Setup" file does, but my guess is that it either downloads software updates for one of Google's products, or the files contains the actual product update.

The file listed here is digitally signed by Google, so you can be sure that it is not something malicious. You can check the digital signature on your file, by right-clicking and selecting Properties and then clicking on the Digital Signature tab.

If you are using FreeFixer, Google's files will appear in green in the scan result.
