This programme is very useful for sharing large files for free, I use it alot with few problems. The problems are: if you have a poor connection, the uploads will fail constantly. Secondly there is a very annoying Dropbox.setup.exe running constantly in the background, which despite the frequently referred to 'tick remove from start-up' advice on the net, can only be removed by uninstalling the programme. It will re-install itself on every start-up otherwise. Surprisingly this is not a problem! I regularly use a computer WITHOUT Dropbox installed to sign into my Dropbox account. You can upload without having DB installed!
So to get the best from free Dropbox...? Uninstall it! And carry on using it by signing in. If you think about it, this is how many upload sites work anyway, there's absolutely no need for a specialised programme to do uploads.
