In Services, I Stopped and then Disabled EpsonCustomerParticipation. Resource Monitor showed that E_YUBNDE.EXE was terminated when I did this. I think this is the service that scans for updates from Epson and creates a pop-up advising you that updates are available (re: Ink Wars? I just successfully downgraded my XP-830 firmware to allow me to use non-OEM ink cartridges.)
