I seems a few of the anti-virus programs are detecting the FFProductUpdater.exe file now:

* McAfee PCBroUpdater 20170903
* McAfee-GW-Edition BehavesLike.Win32.Generic.vh 20170903

I don't know if it is a false positive.

@DaBeast: Did you try to remove FFProductUpdater.exe with FreeFixer?

I removed it. It was forcing an update that could not be cancelled. Ctrl-Alt-Del to force stop it, then remove the program in (in my case) Free Ultimate DVD Ripper

I not only deleted this program but also the directory it was in. I had previously uninstall all version of this program so there was not need for the directory esp since this file was the only entry in the directory. btw it seems to have started in 2016

I downloaded Total Free Y**T*** Downloader from totalaudioeditor DOT com. McAfee as provided by my Bell Canada ISP quarantined the download and would not let me remove it from the quarantine. McAfee said it had JTI/Suspect.1966121!412bf0bd795c (Virus). I turned off McAfee’s real time checking and downloaded it again. I ran the downloaded installer in a VM which had the real-time checking turned on. McAfee running inside the VM quarantined one of the components, specifically GOUP.EXE. This time McAfee said the threat was PCBroUpdater. I was able to run the Total Free Y**T*** Downloader and it worked as described, even with one of its components missing. I did a Google search for PCBroUpdater and found this website, as Roger Karlsson sees PCBroUpdater as the same as FFProductUpdater.exe.
