This program was stopping me installing the popular GOM player (causes a failed to initialize message). Having stopped the program in task manager there was no issues. I had the ask and record toolbar installed and after this I uninstalled it

This service installed on my XP system as part of Freecorder 4 toolbar from www.applian.com/sound-recorder. I've had no problems with this service or Freecorder.
