You leave hash information on the file, but how do I know if the hash of the file on MY machine matches the hash information that you have provided? How do I see the actual resident file's hash information?? I REALLY do NOT trust my adobe (I downloaded a file last night, and when I went to run it, I was asked do I really want to install flashplayerinstall.exe from http://www.mohameed.get.flashplayer.com. I quickly said no, but today there was some very strange firewall reports from McAfee surrounding a TEMP folder that disappeared after I told McAfee to block the attempted transmisssions, and ALL of my Flashplayer files' dates are updated as of that moment in time...)

@Rick: You can use some tool to calculate the file hash, such as CygWin. You can also click the file in FreeFixer and you will get a web page with hash info, virustotal report, etc, for your version of the file.
