In my case what it seems to have done is to prevent me from
switching users on my operating system if running in normal
ops mode. I can get to it in safe mode otherwise I would or might have had some major problems. I activated my guest account is how it became an issue for a friend and was not able to switch users and the message that came up pointed to this file. I tried simply to rename it and then my operating system would not boot up to the normal desktop after that...had to go back in safe mode and rename the file what it originally was and look for a solution as I am doing now to try and get rid of it.....I will make sure to set a restore point first of cours before removing the file....
