Oh, computer gurus...Whenever I turn on my laptop (HP pavilion g series) the brightness icon shows up with out any prompting-you know the one that looks like a starburst with the bars underneath? I also can't use it to change the brightness while it is just sitting there. What I did find out however, that by disabling HPOSD.exe*32 it makes it go away because it is really annoying to have it sitting in the middle of my screen all the time. So, what I am wondering is why all of a sudden it started showing up on start up and how can I get rid of it permanently? It's kind of vexing! Also I really wanted to answer 6 to the spambot question.
