Hi. I came to your site to see what MGHwCtrl is, as Bullguard reports it as "vulnerability" saying its a device driver that is "unsigned", but I dont know what this means. Unfortunately there isn't really information on it on your site. What I need to know obviously is what is it! Where did it come from? Should I get rid of it, or does something depend on it? There are other "unsigned" device drivers identified also.
Can you help? Thanks.

@kb: I cannot find much information at all about MGHwCtrl.dll, neither from the actual file nor from Googling.

MGHwCtrl.dll was uploaded from this web site to virusotal.com back in December 2010, and then it came up as clean. But that was a long time ago. Please upload your copy of MGHwCtrl.dll to virustotal.com to check if something is detected. Please let us know what you find out.

Regarding "unsigned". When a file is "Digitally Signed" it means that we know for sure that
1) The file comes from the publisher listed in the certificate in the file.
2) That the file has not been tampered with.

"Unsigned" means "not Digitally Signed".

You can find more info on digital signatures here:

Hope that answered some of your questions.
