The Prog assists you very well when starting to scan and to OCR a document. It is apparently part of XP (+ vista, 7, 8.1 and 10)but in W10 it does not anymore start by itself but has to be installed. That is at least how I understood MS when I googled the progs name. The OCR, which is part of it, seems to be "state of the art" - that is, it works great with lines of text, but delivers garbage with everything formatted in columnns.
